Brazilian Lime Pie – welcome recipe

Hello again, I would like to apologize for this lack of posts!

Here  I am with what I consider one of the fastest and yet most delicious Brazilian pies. I hadn’t done it for many years but when I was to take a dessert to celebrate New Years Day at a friend’s house it popped in my mind, ever since I have made it 3 times more, so take a chance to try it and after that tell me what you think of it. Let me know if you need any help with the recipe!

Have a great day!

Drikka.

Brazilian Lime Pie:

8-10 servings

oven= pre-heat for about 15 minutes at 350 F or 180C.

Ingredients for the dough:

2 cups of all purpose flour

5 tablespoons full of unsalted butter

a pinch of salt

3 tablespoon full of  white sugar

6 tablespoons full of raw milk

1 tablespoon full of baking powder

Ingredients for the Lime Filling:

1 can of sweet condensed milk

3/4 of cup of the juice of 4 limes.

5 tablespoon of milk

Topping:

2 egg white

4 tablespoon full white icy sugar

Mix the ingredients initially with a spoon and then with your hands read finger tips, just enough to make them a kind of tough soft dough.

Place the dough on an 8 in. baking pan.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 350 F or 180 C for 10 minutes. Turn off the oven do not remove the baking pan.

Prepare the lime filling, just take all the ingredients and blend it for 3 minutes in the medium speed. Spread all over the baked dough.

Beat the white eggs until they reach glossy peaks, gently add the icy sugar as you vigorously keep on beating the white eggs.

When you finished adding the sugar, spread the white eggs evenly on top of the lime filling.

Bake the pie for more 10 minutes or until the white eggs become slightly brown.

Let it cool down and refrigerate before eating.
